Listen: Leeds Collective HONESTY Share ‘MEASURE ME’ and Announce Debut Album ‘U R HERE’

Leeds collective HONESTY announce new album ‘U R HERE’ and share new single ‘MEASURE ME’ via Partisan Records.

Infused with humankind’s manic impulsions for progress and expansion – every vein of HONESTY runs with cold, synthetic blood of modernity (as well as a penchant for capital letters). Well, almost every vein. There’s a warmth wending its way in there too; a craving for the euphorias of love and connection,  a desire to lift oneself out of the shitstorm and into transcendence.

New single ‘MEASURE ME’ embodies all of these contradictions, more, and it’s a fucking bop. Leaning on the rockier side of their deliciously eclectic oeuvre – a nod to the band’s post-punk roots –  the tune surges through a relentless, psychedelic kraut-pop prettiness with all the precision of a bullet-train carving through crepuscular suburbia and out towards the green expanse. It’s at once coolly mechanical, yet deeply human.

Hardly contained on record though is the band’s adventurous, and absorbing live-set up. With the band practically in silhouette, flickering images of urban life and nature – transport, buildings; beaches and mountains –  flare up all around them in projections. It’s audio-visual as hell, and not one to be missed.
