What godforsaken hell are France’s eat-girls pulling us through on new single ‘Para Los Pies Cansados’? And why do I need it so badly?
Taking the keening euro-goth travails of Xmal Deutschland and processing it through a relentless Suicide-esque synth-punk furore, ‘Para los Pies Cansados’ (meaning ‘For Tired Feet’ in Spanish) sounds like a soundtrack to the blood-sprinkling discos from the opening scene of Blade. It’s giving a kind of vampirically evil hypnosis that will take me out to the greatest party of my life and generously indulge me in all the most viciously transcendent pleasures. And then at the end of it all, suck out my spirit and transform me into the foulest of creatures, one that’s just as deliciously wrongful as them. Sign me up.
Described by the band as a “Ritualistic kraut cavalcade for tired feet” (come on!) and as “both momentum and exhaustion” (Let’s fucking go!) The single offers the final teaser from eat-girls’ debut album ‘Area Silenzio’ that’s landing on 8th November via Bureau B records.
