Brighton’s Glasshouse Red Spider Mite share single ‘Thorns In My Mouth’ via new label Secret Friend Records.
Despite still being so early into their career, Brighton’s Glasshouse Red Spider Mite are already undergoing remarkable evolution. With the band’s early gigs and debut ‘Erstwhile’ firmly bridging them into a class of muddy, grizzled-up slowcore rock, new single ‘Thorns In My Mouth’ scratches away these expectations and delves magnificently into all kinds of new swatches and palettes.
Produced by Folly Group’s Louis Milburn, ‘Thorns in My Mouth’ is intensely sensitive yet proudly monolithic. Packed with shuddering, cavernous soundscapes that leap out of the valleys and embrace the cloudy mountaintops, it’s a track that’s as intensely sensitive as it is biblically monolithic; that rages against the lightning and the thunder to eek out the sun, and leave us battered, bruised, refreshed and awoken.
