NYC’s YHWH Nailgun Share ‘Sickle Walk’ and Announce Debut Album via AD93.
The latest single from NYC experimental-rock assailants YHWH Nailgun, clicking play on ‘Sickle Walk’ is an experience commensurate with stumbling across a cursed locket, forcing it open, and fatally allowing ancient demonic forces to stream out of their confines and indelibly possess you and the rest of the known universe with their cataclysmic spell, forever. While also melting your face off.
There are few bands that can unleash such monumental bowel-restructuring passions in such a short space of time. Theirs is a dance like no other; a swaying, jerking writhe that rocks and boulders like a belching wave in the middle of a polluted ocean. Decomposing the gross sum weight of humankind’s destructive thrust into a mere 86 seconds of insanely direct and impossibly rhythmic warfare, ‘Sickle Walk’ also chimes the news of a debut album – ‘45 Pounds’ – landing in March via AD93. And I, for one, cannot wait to genuflect before my streaming service of choice and confess to it all of my modern sins
