After playing across the globe as part of Far Caspian’s backing band, It’s time for Jacob Andrews to announce himself under the alias Big Warm Bed.
With a breezy serotonin-filled guitar lead and Willie J Healy-esque vocals, Andrews already sounds like a bonafide rock-star on his first outing. The lyrics cover themes of loss and friendship and add a bittersweet touch to the generally relaxed instrumental. Rising from the thriving Leeds scene, Big Warm Bed feels like a fresh alternative to the heavy grouchy sound currently coming out of Yorkshire; There’s something unexplainably sweet and honest about Big Warm Bed’s music.
With an EP due in September, Big Warm Bed is a name to keep an eye out for.
