Brighton’s ladylike play with our heartstrings throughout their gorgeous new track.
With a spot on Green Man’s Rising stage in August, ladylike share ‘Horse’s Mouth’, a beautiful new taste of the quartet’s sound. On their first outing, ‘Southbound’ we saw an instrumental masterclass exploring multiple fresh ideas that the UK scene needs and while the instrumental here is as beautiful as the first, the vocal performance from Georgia Butler is hauntingly beautiful echoing the likes of Angel Olsen and Adrianne Lenker, beautifully playing off Spencer Withey’s vocal creating a satisfying contrast vocally. A music video accompanies the track directed by Kyle McCarthy.
The band have a number of live dates coming up, appearances in Brighton’s Psych Festival, Rotterdam’s Left of the Dial and of course, a set in the Brecon Beacons for Green Man Festival with the band coming through the Green Man Rising competition with The Orchestra (For Now) and TTSSFU.
On the track, Georgia says ‘Horse’s Mouth’ depicts the relentless work ethic of the modern-day person through the narrative of an unnamed individual.“
