Listen: Wunderhorse Return with New Single ‘The Rope’

The indie-rock band laced with a chaotic charm, perhaps better known as Wunderhorse, have welcomed new single ‘The Rope’ to the world. Vulnerable yet assertive, the group’s latest track mirrors just how they perform live.

Coming off of a high after their acclaimed 2024 album ‘Midas’, the project which frontman Jacob Slater describes as having a sound as though “your face is pressed up against the amplifiers, like you’ve been locked inside the bass drum”, ‘The Rope’ knows no bounds with a compelling hook and a grunginess running through its veins. It bubbles under the surface, then it explodes, then it’s gone.

Wunderhorse find themselves as frontrunners in rising British guitar music, reaching a new peak this month appearing on Jools Holland’s show and performing the new single, ‘The Rope’ shows a band more confident and comfortable in their sound than ever. With the most recent single coming together weeks before embarking on their biggest headline shows to date last month, the ball of energy that is ‘The Rope’ echoes their current lust for life.
